The Pink Ribbon Program
A specifically designed program for breast cancer survivors who are on the road to recovery.
The Pink Ribbon Program was founded in the United States by Doreen Puglisi, MS, and was created to help meet the goals of the breast cancer survivor. Thankfully, due to early prevention awareness, breast cancers, as well as other cancers, are no longer being viewed as a life sentence, but instead as a chronic illness.
Recent studies indicate a link between moderate physical exercise and improved quality of life for all cancer survivors. Exercise protocols like The Pink Ribbon Program are needed more than ever as the population of cancer survivors grow.
The major areas of concern for any woman who has had breast cancer typically include body image, frozen shoulder, and/or range of motion, depression and anxiety. The Pink Ribbon Program will help stretch and strengthen the shoulders, chest, back, and abdominal muscles, allowing a woman to regain full range of motion to those areas affected by breast cancer surgery.
The classes are organised for small groups of no more than 6 women providing a stimulating and supportive network. The Pink Ribbon Program is suitable whether the surgery was recent or several years ago and accommodates all fitness levels.
Please contact the studio for more information and class times.
